BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, NOVEMBER 8TH 2006 (CUOPM)
Top officials of commercial banks that operate within the member countries of the Eastern Caribbean Currency Union (ECCU), along with CARICOM Central Banks and other regional and financial institutions will gather in St. Kitts for the 17th Annual Conference with the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank (ECCB).
The Conference on November 13th and 14th will be held under the theme “Whither the ECCU Commercial Banking Sector?”
During the Conference, the ECCB Best Corporate Citizen Awards Among Commercial Banks will be presented to the banks that are adjudged to have carried out their corporate social responsibility to the highest level. The National Bank of Anguilla Ltd was the recipient of the Best Corporate Citizen Award in 2005.
According to the ECCB, previous Conferences have addressed topics such as “Money and Capital Markets Development,” “Human Resource Development in the Financial Sector,” “Financial Development and Innovations,” and “Promoting Competitiveness in the ECCU: The Role of the Financial Services Sector.”
The Sir Cecil Jacobs Auditorium, at the ECCB’s Headquarters will be the host venue for the Conference.
