An Island-wide Victory Motorcade is planned by the St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party on Saturday to celebrate the re-election of the party for a fourth consecutive five year term.

General Secretary of the ruling St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party, Ms. Wanda Connor said the motorcade, led by St. Kitts and Nevis Prime Minister and Labour Party Leader begins at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday 30th January leaving from Port Zante.

The vehicles will proceed to Fort Street, Cayon Street, Pond Road,   road east of the new Pond Site Playing field, Taylors Range, Victoria Road, Cayon Street, around the Island via Old Road, Sandy Point, St. Paul�s,  Tabernacle,  Cayon, Conaree, St. Peters, back to Basseterre ending at the Treasury Apron.

Prime Minister Douglas and other candidates are expected to use the opportunity to express thanks and appreciation to their supporters in the various constituencies.

The Labor Party won six of eight parliamentary seats allotted to St. Kitts, according to results announced by elections supervisor Mr. Leroy Benjamin. The opposition People’s Action Movement won two seats.

The Nevis-based Concerned Citizens Movement held on to its two seats, and the Nevis Reformation Party kept its single spot.
