Premier of Nevis, The Hon. Joseph Parry, will be the first guest of the new Nevis Television (NTV) programme entitled “Government in Action” which will air for one hour starting on Wednesday, 10 January 2007 at 8p.m on Nevis Television (NTV) Channel 8. This program will be aired bi-weekly.
“The residents of Nevis deserve to hear from their government regularly on programmes such as this one. “Government in Action” would directly connect the community on a whole with the Nevis Island Administration through this informative production,” said Hon. Joseph Parry.
This one hour show produced by Press Secretary to the Premier, Mrs. Deli Caines Bussue and hosted by radio personality, Mr. Walter Morton will start off with the discussion of the 2007 Budget, which was recently reviewed at the Nevis Island Assembly meeting held in December, 2006.
“I eagerly look forward to hosting this programme, which will soon afford live participation from the community, giving them the opportunity to call in and ask their questions and make comments. I believe this will add substantial quality and credibility to the programme’s production,” said Mr. Walter Morton.
During the upcoming episodes, Mr. Morton will have one-on-one discussions with Government Ministers, Permanent Secretaries, Project Leaders and Directors of Departments in the Nevis Island Administration.
The “Government in Action” Mission Statement is to: ‘Inform, Educate and Promote’ the policies, visions and goals of the NRP lead Nevis Island Administration.
