Three projects have been approved by Cabinet for the Wingfield area of Old Road.

The Denzil Douglas Labour Government said that in its continued effort to empower prospective homeowners and small business persons in Old Road and the nearby areas, the development of three new projects for the Wingfield area has been approved.

The first project, the Wingfield Heights Housing Development Extension is a low-income housing development with 43 housing lots measuring between 4,000 and 5,000 square feet each.

The second project, a middle-income development, is called the Wingfield View Housing Development consisting of 24 housing lots each measuring about 10,000 square feet.

The third development is a commercial development consisting of a number of commercial lots ranging from 14,000 to 27,000 square feet for young business people in the Old Road area.

“These three developments are based upon the vision and aspiration of the people of Old Road and the surrounding areas for residential and commercial development. The people of Old Road wish to have Old Road developed into a modern town with modern residential and commercial development, being proud of the fact that Old Road was the first town on St. Kitts,” said the post cabinet statement.
