Notice –

The general public is invited to take part in the St. Kitts World AIDS Campaign 2008 activities.

Wed., Nov. 12 – World AIDS Campaign Launch at the Treasury Apron, Bay Rd at 5:00 pm

Thurs., Nov. 13 – Walk of Hope starting at Independence Square at 5:00 pm.  Walk ends at last round-about in Frigate Bay.

Fri., Nov. 28 – World AIDS Parade starting at the Tamarind Tree, Greenlands at 2:00 pm, parading through Basseterre ending at the Treasury Apron, Bay Rd. An AIDS Jam will follow the World AIDS Parade at 5:00 pm at the Treasury Apron, Bay Rd.

Mon., Dec. 01 – A Puppeteer presentation in participating Schools at 9:00 am in each WORLD AIDS DAY participating school. Open Day at Independence Square from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm

Tues., Dec. 16 – Whistle Stop, along the island main road starting at 4:00 pm

Wed., Dec. 17 – National VCT Day at Independence Square from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm Feel free to come and get free and confidential HIV testing with pre and post test counseling.

Thurs., Dec. 18 to Fri., Jan 02 Carnival-Related Activities.

  • Two (2) troupes will be given condoms and other promotional items
  • The display of the HIV/AIDS float in Carnival Parades
  • Stop the Music and Reflect (a literal pause in the revelry for reflection)
